Mechanical Site Manager – Water Industry (Freelance, 6 months+, Outside IR35)

Freelance Role: £330 - £380 per day (Outside IR35)

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mechanical component of MEICA projects.

  • Manage installation contractor. 

  • Oversee adherence to Health and Safety standards by site teams.

  • Ensure installations meet the highest quality benchmarks.

  • Exemplify our core values in all interactions with team members, staff, customers, and clients.

  • Safely manage project delivery within agreed timelines and to exceptional quality standards.

  • Ensure all work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements.

  • Supervise and monitor work conducted by specialist subcontractors and supply chain partners.

  • Efficiently manage operational assets until client handover.

Candidate Specification:

  • Must have a solid engineering background with corresponding qualifications.

  • Experience in the water industry is preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in a mechanical site management or supervisory role within MEICA-focused projects.

  • Competent in overseeing multi-disciplinary mechanical and MEICA interfacing.

  • Essential computer proficiency, particularly with MS Office applications.

  • Required qualifications include CITB (SMSTS), SSSTS, or CSCS for safe management practices.

  • Ability to meet project deadlines, managing multiple tasks without compromising quality or schedule.

  • Must hold a valid full UK driving licence.

  • Authorised to work in the UK.
